Getting Started
Creating your first smart link
The link editor is a short series of steps. None except Source and Title are required to save.
- 1Source — paste a Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or SoundCloud URL. Soundcave auto-fills the title, artist, and cover art, and looks for the same release on other platforms automatically (see "Automatic platform matching").
- 2Title — Artist name and Track title, or, if this isn't a link for a song, leave those blank and set a Page title instead (e.g. "Tour Dates," "Merch Store"). One of the two is required.
- 3Cover & design — pick a theme, layout, button shape, cover treatment, accent color, and button text. See "Customizing a smart link."
- 4Streaming links — add, remove, or reorder the platforms shown on your page.
- 5Audio preview — pick which platform's preview plays on your page, if any.
- 6Short URL — customize your link's slug (soundcave.io/go/your-slug).
- 7Routing rules (advanced, optional) — see "Advanced routing."
- 8Tracking pixels (advanced, optional) — see the Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads articles.
Click Create link once you're happy — you can come back and edit any of this later.
